Animation legend, Floyd Norman, visited with Webster students for the university’s international animation festival, Kinematifest 2017. He spoke with students about becoming an animator on classics like Sleeping Beauty and The Sword in the Stone. He also shared how he was promoted to the story department and was able to contribute to The Jungle Book and other Disney classics.

The remarkable drive Floyd has and his need to create led him to work on newer forms of animation like Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. Webster held a public screening of Floyd Norman: An Animated Life and afterwards Floyd fielded questions from the audience.
