Effects animator Marlon West will be speaking at Webster University for the St. Louis International Film Festival Thursday, Nov. 10 at 7:30pm. West started his career on The Lion King and has since worked on features including Mulan and Frozen. He is now the head of effects for Walt Disney Animation Studios and will be speaking about the feature film Moana set for release November 23, 2016.
West’s 90 minute lecture will allow students to gain industry insight and view behind-the-scenes footage of Moana. The film has garnered praise for its outstanding story of adventure as well as its unprecedented amount of visual effects heavy development.
